Images are materials for collecting culture and memory. They not only record the lives of tribes, but also provide a way to reflect on identity and evoke culture in cultural revitalization work. The first lecture of this series will be a screening of the documentary “Ketagalan” shot by teacher Pan Chaocheng. Through the record of Ketagalan’s cultural revitalization, we hope that the government will pay attention to the rights of the Ketagalan people and that the public will take them seriously. The unfortunate experiences of the Ketagalan people throughout history should not be stigmatized. Teacher Pan Chaocheng, who has long been concerned about aboriginal issues, was invited to talk about the video recording work he is good at. In the field and during the shooting process, he continued to use the work of collecting these images and establishing archives as an important reference for cultural revitalization.
