Workshop｜Sketching in Beitou Society’s Sanlayqi Park

Beitou She Sanlayqi Park used to be closely related to Taiwan’s ceramic industry, but the development of the industry also affected the local environment. This activity invites teacher Wang Zhengxiong, who once worked in a ceramics factory near the original site of the park as a hand-painter, to take everyone back to the park to practice landscape sketching and re-explore historical memories through painting.

Craftsman Wang Zhengxiong

Wang Zhengxiong, a 76-year-old ceramic hand-painting master, has been doing ceramic tile hand-painting for more than 40 years. He is the head of “Zhengxiong Folk Custom Studio” and founded “Ligu Enterprise Co., Ltd.”. Beitou’s ceramic industry is booming, and many Beitou The colorful porcelain decorations in the local temples were all made by him and his work team, and his works can be found in many temples in Beitou and across the province.
