Leader｜Beitou Colored Porcelain Expert Wang Zhengxiong

Mr. Wang Zhengxiong, a master of Beitou colored porcelain in his seventies, is the head of “Zhengxiong Folk Custom Studio” and founded “Ligu Enterprise Co., Ltd.” When Beitou’s ceramics industry was at its peak, he and his team were the ones who made many of the colorful porcelain decorations in local temples in Beitou, and he is still passionate about it today.

In this workshop, Teacher Wang guided everyone to paint on tiles at the Baode Palace in Fanzicuo, Beitou. They learned about the “Dingshe” that was once the traditional area of ​​Beitou Society and was also the place where Beitou Ceramics Industry arose, and gained an in-depth understanding of it. The technology and knowledge of temple porcelain decoration, together with the belief circle of Baode Palace, together add imaginative porcelain decoration to Baode Palace!

After the completion of the works of the students in this workshop, they were hung on both sides of the altar of Baode Palace. They were one of the works exhibited in “2020 Wandering Lord of the Land: Divine Topography of Baode Palace” and were also used as a gift for the prince’s birthday that year.
