Guizikeng is endowed with high-quality pottery clay, which led to the prosperity of the ceramics industry in the early days. During the Japanese colonial period, there were many refractory brick factories here. One of the refractory bricks, “Beitou Kiln Industry”, was used in many important industrial and military buildings because its quality was superior to other products and it was more resistant to high temperatures. Teacher Wu Yuanhe, an expert on ancient mountain trails in Taiwan, and Teacher Yang Ye, who specializes in collecting Beitou ancient cultural relics, led the visit to Yilan Jiaro Shrine.
